R.M.Weare & Company Ltd. has a zero-tolerance policy toward the trade in conflict diamonds and child labour in the diamond trade. Although conflict diamonds account for less than 1% of the
total diamond trade we ensure all diamonds supplied
by R.M.Weare comply with the Kimberley Process.
This process is an international certification
scheme that regulates the trade in rough
diamonds.
It's aim is to prevent the trade in conflict
diamonds, while helping to protect the
legitimate trade in rough & polished stones. Although many diamonds are sourced in Africa,
a large number are mined in Canada, Russia and
Australia. Canada and Russia in particular are
renowned for the very white stones in which
R.M.Weare specialise and the finer cuts in which we
specialised are cut by highly skilled adult cutters in
Belgium, Israel and India.
All of R.M.Weare & Company Ltd. diamonds are
guaranteed to be conflict free. For further details please feel free to ask any of
our staff or please visit DiamondFacts.org |
